Hello. Welcome back to my blog.

I always love photographing weddings. There's so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Veronica & Israel’s wedding, either!  The wedding ceremony and reception was at Scavello's on the Island. They danced to their first song Perfect Duet by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, which was played by DJ Waine Deejaydc from Top of the Line Productions.  A few more people that helped their wedding go off without a hitch was:

Cake Maker: Realiza Cabrera - IG @caramel_sugar_cake, New York, NY
Make-up Artist:  IG@makeupgurutara
Hair: Modelo's Beauty

Wedding Planner: J&J Celebrations Time-Decorator
Where Dress, Shoes, Flowers, & Accessories were all Purchased: Melrose Bridal, Bronx, NY
Tuxedo: Vito's Men's Shop
Limo Service: Melrose Bridal, Bronx, NY
Photographer: Mils Mendez Photography LLC, Staten Island, NY
Seating Chart, Welcome Sign, Coasters with Guests Names were done by the Maid of Honor, Kristal.

The couple felt very nervous during their ceremony because they were afraid to say the vows in public. Their officiant, Luisa Perez, made the ceremony special and comfortable. Once the vows were done, the couple's nerves were gone and they were able to enjoy themselves.  The couple met when Israel walked into the wrong dealership and walked into the love of his life, Veronica. They had been dating for 18 years until she finally became a Diaz!  Israel proposed last Christmas in front of the entire family. I had the pleasure of photographing these two for their engagement at The South Street Seaport - Pier 17 in New York City in April. Visit blog for their engagement photos. Due to Covid and losing the groom's grandparents, their wedding had been postponed from May 13, 2021 to July 29, 2021 with a micro-wedding of 40 guests.

One advice Veronica offers to other couples planning their wedding is "allow for people to help and delegate everyone's role for the day of the wedding. Always keep in mind, it's you and your fiancé's day -- do not allow for negative energies to ruin it -- and most definitely get a wedding planner as it was the best last minute decision made."

When I asked Veronica what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said, “my favorite part was when we said our vows and lighting the unity candle." Overall, Veronica says her wedding was amazing and better than what she imagined it to be.  As for me, one of my personal favorite moments of the wedding was when the couple exchanged their rings and they flashed the audience in person and on Zoom of how proud they were to finally be married and show of their wedding rings!  You could tell they were really loving every minute of their special day. Okay, enough talk. Let's move on to the photos!
